Operator Challenge

Operator Challenge

Awesome Earthmovers host Operator Challenge at Plantworx 2023 – sponsored by HD Hyundai Construction Equipment. Nine different challenges to complete!

Plantworx has built a reputation for pioneering innovation and showcasing leading technological advancements from all sectors of the construction industry.

Awesome Earthmovers has been invited by the Plantworx team to host the inaugural Operator Challenge at the 2023 show, which is taking place next week at the East of England Arena and Showground from the 13th to the 15th of June this year.

AE’s have teamed up with some of the leading names in the construction industry to bring a range of nine different challenges to the arena where operators of varying skill levels can pitch themselves against each other in a series of timed trials.

Whilst many traditional operator trial competitions are aimed at experienced operators, the Awesome Earthmovers Operator Challenge has been designed to allow operators of any skill level to take part.

The event will be hosted by our good friend Peter Haddock from Content with Media and will feature guest appearances by many of the UK’s leading social media influencers such as Amy the Digger Girl aka Amy Underwood, Conor the Digger Driver aka Conor Kelly, Bearded Excavation aka Lloyd Peckham, Lord Muck aka Kurt Mills, Tracklass1 aka Lana Edwards and newcomer, Ben ‘the operator’ Wade, who has a very bright future ahead of him.

Shared Dig Zone

Shared Dig Zone

PlantWorx has always been about bringing machinery to life, and 2025 is no different. We're introducing the new 'Shared Dig Zone', where you can demonstrate machinery without a dedicated digging plot.

Due to increased demand for demonstration plots, this flexible, cost-effective approach enables you to showcase your machinery and technology in action through limited 45-minute slots in a dedicated zone.

Demonstrate your machinery in a real-world environment—take advantage of this unique chance to showcase your machinery in action to an engaged audience!

Simulation Zone

Simulation Zone

The Simulation Zone at PlantWorx, a state-of-the-art training platform for construction professionals, hosted by Plantforce Rentals, made a triumphant return in 2023 following its phenomenal debut in 2019. This innovative and interactive zone provided an unmatched opportunity for beginners and seasoned operators alike to enhance their skills and familiarise themselves with machine control systems, and advanced technologies, and gain insights into the realm of construction. Throughout the entire show, the zone was teeming with activity as every age group and various levels of experience tried their hands at the simulators.

The companies’ stands in the indoor arena had been buzzing with visitors and offered a cool alternative to the soaring temperatures outside. The technology that was presented is set to change the future of construction.
