Plantworx 2025

Stage 5 Retrofit Emission reduction Technologies approved by the Energy Saving Trust

HJS Emission Technology is excited to announce that it will be exhibiting alongside its UK distribution partner Cybrand AEC Ltd at this year’s Plantworx.

Construction emission regulations have been implemented in many cities across the UK  resulting in the requirement for construction sites to reduce their environmental impact and contribute to improvements of local air quality.   Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) and power generators are significant contributors to poor air quality in these areas.

Via its portfolio of innovative technologies, HJS offer affordable solutions to support emission compliance for construction/NRMM regulations and improve air quality and protect public health.

“HJS & Cybrand are specialists in the field of reducing the emissions of older equipment and machinery to the latest emission standards.  Their SCR(T) retrofit exhaust technology can be used to retrofit older machinery from Tier 3 and 4 to Tier 5 and on road vehicles from Euro III/IV and V to Euro VI emission levels providing the benefit of prolonged fleet life.”

HJS’s modular and bespoke retrofit technologies reduce harmful emissions including PM (Particulate Matter) and Nitrous Oxides (NOx). The HJS SCRT can be supplied as a modular system for a simplified installation as well as serial production OE “turn-key” system compatible with Gensets, Non-Road Mobile Machinery and other construction equipment. The HJS SCRT system consists of a DPF and SCR which are combined to provide a simultaneous reduction of PM and NOx enabling operators to upgrade gensets and other equipment from stage III and IV emissions to meet Stage IV and V Emission Standards.

Retrofitting construction machinery with an HJS SCRT system will offer emission regulation compliance and foreseeably extend its life at a fraction of the cost of procuring a replacement. Where an existing full-flow factory DPF is installed, this can also be retained and an SCR installed to offer compliance at a reduced cost.

Systems have been tested and are approved by the Energy Savings Trust NRMM approval scheme via VERT Certification ensuring that the required emissions standards are met and compliance with UK requirements is provided.
