On track for better welding: SITE-ARC brings tracked solution to PlantWorx 2025
SITE-ARC will showcase its patent-pending tracked welder at PlantWorx 2025 — a remote-controlled, self-propelled unit developed to solve on-site challenges in rail, pipeline and structural welding.

Designed to reduce manual handling, the tracked welder eliminates the need for lifting equipment and associated permits. Traditionally, two extra operatives were needed to move welding equipment weighing around 100kg. With SITE-ARC’s system, only two are required per job, freeing up skilled staff for other tasks — particularly valuable during labour shortages.

Built for infrastructure environments, the tracked unit can navigate tough terrain, including embankments, ramps and staircases, making it ideal for rail, civils and remote job sites. This mobility allows continuous progress along the work zone without delays waiting for lifting support.

Crucially, the TW300 delivers consistent weld quality. Unlike lightweight units that are often underpowered, SITE-ARC’s design provides reliable output, helping prevent weld failures and costly rework.

The company has patent and international rights pending, with much of the development still under wraps. However, PlantWorx visitors will get a first-hand look at how the tracked welder tackles site access, staffing and quality challenges in one integrated solution.

PlantWorx takes place from 23–25 September 2025 at Newark Showground. Register now at https://plantworx.yourticketpurchase.com/
