One generator, any fuel: IPG Energy challenges the diesel status quo at PlantWorx 2025

With no consensus on the “fuel of the future”, the shift away from diesel generators is both urgent and uncertain. The industry is at a stalemate: move too early on one alternative fuel and risk investing in assets tied to a fuel that might not scale, or risk continuing to strand millions in diesel assets waiting for the right fuel, all while delaying decarbonisation.
IPG Energy, a UK climate-tech innovator, is offering a way through. Its patented Flameless Combustion technology enables a single generator platform to run on any fuel — from hydrogen and bio-LPG to e-fuels and diesel blends. This flexibility empowers contractors and rental firms to take faster, bolder steps towards decarbonisation, switching and blending between renewable and conventional fuels without being locked into one supply chain or waiting years for renewable fuel costs to match diesel.
“Our mission is to take the guesswork out of decarbonisation,” said Lauren Franklin, Chief Commercial Officer. “By delivering one generator that works with any fuel, IPG removes the risk of backing the ‘wrong’ solution. We see this as a breakthrough moment for contractors and rental firms under pressure to cut carbon without compromising business resilience.”
Franklin, who joined the business five years ago and recently stepped into the role of CCO, will lead IPG Energy’s presence at this year's PlantWorx Construction Exhibition 2025. In that time, she's helped shape IPG Energy’s commercial strategy and build the partnerships that underpin its market approach. Franklin has also twice been recognised by the Women in Green Business Awards, highlighting her contribution to advancing clean energy solutions and her growing influence within the sector.
At PlantWorx 2025, IPG Energy aims to bring industry and policy voices together to show how the UK can lead on diesel displacement — turning debate over future fuels into immediate steps towards decarbonisation, and building the partnerships that will carry its technology into market rollout in 2026.
