GAP Hire Solutions used PlantWorx 2025 to unveil the latest addition to its fleet – two advanced Fusion Pulse welfare units from Groundhog – underlining its commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and quality on-site facilities.

On show at stands G-01 and G-03, the new arrivals are:

  • single axle GP360 Fusion Pulse (3.6m)

  • twin axle GPO660 Fusion Pulse (6.6m) with twin toilet facilities

Packed with smart, sustainable features, both units feature roof-mounted solar panels and the Fusion Pulse balanced power system, which actively monitors battery levels and starts the generator only when needed. This can cut generator use by up to 90%, dramatically reducing noise, fuel consumption, and servicing costs.

Inside, GAP has customised the units to offer:

  • double inverter sockets with built-in USB-C charging

  • 12V socket for cool boxes or fridges

  • on-board telematics to track usage and report CO₂e emissions

  • stainless-steel worktops and GAP branding throughout

  • generator power reserved for kettle, microwave, and water heating

The result is a welfare solution that keeps sites quieter, cleaner, and more efficient – reducing emissions and running costs while improving site conditions.

David Munro, Head of Asset Management and Supply Chain at GAP Hire Solutions, said:
“These new welfare units represent a significant step forward for GAP in delivering sustainable and high-quality on-site solutions. The Fusion Pulse system not only reduces emissions and fuel consumption but also improves comfort and convenience for our customers. It was the perfect product to showcase at PlantWorx 2025.”

Paul Ratcliffe, CEO at Groundhog, commented:
“We are extremely excited to start our new partnership with GAP Group. We believe our joint family values – quality, sustainability, and service – will help us build a strong relationship going forward.”

Peter Beach, Sales and Marketing Director at Groundhog, added:
“We’re proud to partner with GAP Group in supplying innovative, sustainable mobile site welfare units. Groundhog and GAP share the goal of reducing site emissions and driving a more sustainable future. Through our training and service support, we’ll ensure seamless delivery of welfare units to sectors across the UK.”

The Fusion Pulse units will now be rolled out across GAP’s network of depots nationwide.
