Plantworx 2025

Plantworx Director awarded MBE in King’s first New Year’s honours list

Huge congratulations to the CEE Executive Director, Rob Oliver, on being awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List.

The Plantworx team is delighted to hear that Rob Oliver, Executive Director of Construction Equipment Events has been recognised for his significant contributions to the construction equipment manufacturing sector.

Despite retiring as CEA Chief Executive in 2021, Mr Oliver continues to remain very much a part of the industry, and an integral part of the CEE which will be delivering the 5th Plantworx exhibition in June.

Speaking to Rob after hearing the wonderful news, he stated:

“In my career, I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with senior people in a number of industries which has given me a ringside seat to the workings of British and international business. However, I am still looking forward, to offering a great showcase for construction equipment innovation and technology at Plantworx 2023.”

Mr Oliver has achieved an incredible amount, including the development of the CESAR Scheme plant marking and registration scheme – and its extension to cover on-site Emissions Compliance Verification (ECV), as part of his time with the CEA. In recognition of his work with the police to combat plant theft, he has also given his name to an annual award to police forces that have shown a special commitment to anti-theft campaigning.

“We’re incredibly proud to have Mr Oliver working with us to deliver the Plantworx exhibition, and are thoroughly looking forward to showcasing more construction equipment innovation and technology in June this year.”
