Awesome Earthmovers is bringing the Operator Challenge back to PlantWorx 2025 - and this year, it’s set to be bigger and better than ever. With JCB on board as headline sponsor in celebration of its 80th anniversary, the stage is set for an unmissable event.

All machines featured in the challenge will be supplied by JCB, including a wide selection of excavators ranging from 1 to 14 tonnes. Expect to see fan favourites like the 145XR X-Series zero tailswing, the updated 3CX, and the ever-versatile Hydradig in action. Also on show will be JCB’s latest hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine, giving visitors a glimpse into the future of alternative fuels.

Following the huge success of the 2023 challenge at Peterborough Showground, which welcomed hundreds of operators and industry professionals, the 2025 edition promises to be just as competitive, entertaining, and unforgettable.

Goodie bags and trophies are up for grabs for the top five runners-up, plus a holiday for two for the winner to the value of £3,000.

  • This year’s challenge will put operators to the test with eight timed events, each cleverly inspired by classic board games. Plus, two bonus head-to-head activities will be open to all accredited attendees – so everyone has a chance to join in the action
