PROLECTRIC HEADLINE SPONSORS PLANTWORX 2025 - WITH LAUNCH OF NEW PROCHARGE SOLAR BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM
)
Delivered in association with the CPA
(Construction Plant-hire Association), Prolectric will headline sponsor the Site
Sustainability Showcase at Plantworx 2025, bringing together solar, hydrogen,
electric, battery-powered, and hybrid technologies in one collaborative
space. From solar-powered welfare to hydrogen hybrids and electric NRMM –
this inspirational new zone at the show will offer a joined-up look at how
today’s cleaner site solutions are being used together to reduce emissions and
improve efficiency.
On
site powering the show, Prolectric’s game changing new ProCharge BESS will
demonstrate its unique set of product characteristics, combining 12 440W solar
panels with 120kWh battery energy storage. The product has been carefully
introduced following the initial prototype which was tested and adapted in
collaboration with some of the UK’s largest contractors.
During
the trial at the ‘Kier A417 Missing Link Project’, the ProCharge prototype,
which has only 8 panels, saved Kier Highways over £32,500 in just 5 months with
a projected annual saving of over £69,000. Moving forward, the unit will
annually save 150,000 kgs of CO2e from being emitted into the atmosphere.
Offering
three times the output power and 3.5 times the battery capacity of
Prolectric’s
single-phase
system, the 120kWh BESS is designed for high-demand applications requiring up
to 45kVA, and integrates seamlessly with diesel generators, commonly 100kVA.
The
ProCharge 3-phase model can be used to create a hybrid setup for powering site
compounds and to charge machines like electric telehandlers, small EVs,
battery-powered all-terrain vehicles, mini diggers and dumpers.
The
skid-mounted unit is designed to work with standard UK 3-phase distribution
boards and can help operators reduce carbon emissions and cut fuel costs. Noise
is also decreased, making it suitable for urban environments and night-time
projects in residential areas. Operations can be monitored and controlled
remotely via an integrated microcontroller and GPS (global positioning system).
Serving a wide range of industries from
construction, housebuilding, MOD and rail to major infrastructure, as a
solar-first business, Prolectric is focussed on setting new engineering
standards in solar lighting, power technology and advanced automation software.
Since launching the company’s first solar lighting tower, Prolectric has saved its
customers over 28 million kg of CO2 and reduced diesel usage by more
than 10 million litres, which represents a customer saving of more than
£10million.
